Dís II was a blond-haired dwarf who was the third child of Thráin and Lagertha, and the younger sister of Thórin and Frérin. Married to Tíli, she was the mother of Fíli and Kíli, and the grandmother of Bís. Like her brothers, she was born in Erebor and was driven into exile in TA 2880 when the dragon Smaug sacked the kingdom. She eventually married Tíli and had two sons after she decided to live in Ered Luin with another large faction of her kin.
