Lobelia Sackville-Baggins was a Hobbit of the Shire, wife of Otho Sackville-Baggins, and cousin of Bilbo Baggins.
Biography[]

Lobelia at the Hobbiton Market.
Lobelia was born in Hardbottle and was renowned in the Shire for her temper and greed. Getting what she wanted in the Shire, Lobelia was considered to be one of the most hateful hobbits during the Third Age. She married Bilbo Baggins's cousin Otho Sackville-Baggins and two would try to make a few attempts in taking Bag End for themselves. In TA 2941, when her cousin Bilbo went to the Green Dragon Inn market after his encounter with Gandalf, Lobelia was there looking for things to buy and later walked with her husband Otho when Bilbo walked by and was having a pleasant conversation with his friend Master Worrywort.
Her envy of Bag End was well-known, and she could not wait to inherit it just incase if something would happen. Her wish had recently came true when Bilbo had recently departed from the Shire and joined a company of Dwarves under the leadership of Thórin Oakenshield, the heir of Longbeards.
Behind the scenes[]
- Lobelia was portrayed by Erin Banks in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Battle of the Five Armies, but her scenes were cut from the theatrical version but were included in the extended edition, though like the Belladonna Took and Old Took, she and Otho were mentioned where Frodo Baggins told his uncle that they weren't coming to his 111th birthday party and were still demanding to have Bag End and when Bilbo replied that Lobelia once stole a handful of his utencils and told Frodo to watch over her.
- In the books, Lobelia was born in TA 2918 and 23 when Bilbo left the Shire. In the film, she is 50 years old and was born in TA 2891.
